Whether you are a new customer or an existing one, welcome to our new revamped website.
This is something we have wanted to do for some time, but we never seemed to have had the time until now. Thanks to Alan and Michael at Netskiver for all the work they have put in. Hope you all like it and if you have any suggestions please let us know, especially if you would like us to talk about a specific subject.
This month (January) we are still checking the bees to make sure everything is ok and to help them through the Winter, especially after all the wind and rain we have had lately. Last Autumn we fed the bees that needed it and hopefully that will be enough to see them through to the Spring. But there are always some colonies that never seem to have enough and so we give them fondant to help them through.
As well as checking the bees there are always Winter jobs to be done in the workshop which include older frames being melted down and cleaned and new frames being made up ready for the coming season. This will be ongoing for the next month or so, and all boxes and equipment will also be checked, repaired or replaced.
We haven’t had a Farmers Market this month as we have found in the past that the business is not there after the festive season. But we will be back at Walton-on-Thames Farmers Market next month on Saturday 1st February. However, if you cannot wait until then our honey can still be bought from one of our local stockists, a list of which can be found on our website under the Stockists page.
We also have a diary page where we list all the markets and events that we will be attending during the year where you will be able to see us and the whole range of our products. New this year, we will be attending some local 2-day food festivals which are all listed on the diary page.
